World Energy Services, LLC has developed a whole-building water purification system that is inexpensive and easy to install. This system comprises four (4) filtration and purification components to create the finest water available.
The WES system for whole-building water purification can be divided into 3 sections:
The first section is where the incoming water pumped from a well or cistern is pre-filtered and processed. The pump forces water through a strainer and an ultra-fine filter. The strainer has a very fine screen that removes large particles of debris, leaves, insects and other unwanted contaminants from the incoming water from the well or cistern.
The ultra-fine filter is capable of removing much smaller particles as well as bacteria and protozoans that make people sick. Giardia and Cryptosporidium protozoans make people very ill as well as other bacteria such as E.coli. This primary filter removes these and other parasites from the incoming well water.
The second section is where the pre-filtered water then undergoes a very rigorous purification process as these filters are able to reduce heavy metals such as cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, aluminum, and other dangerous heavy metals without removing the healthful and beneficial minerals that people need. These filters also remove uranium, radium, arsenic and much more from the water. The water is then passed through an ultraviolet water sterilizer to remove any remaining bacteria that could be present.
The third section uses a tank to collect the purified water from the ultra-violet sterilizer and a typical jet-pump is used to pressurize and distribute this purified water from this tank throughout the building via the building’s plumbing.
This system is used to purify residential and commercial water as well as for agricultural purposes such as water for livestock and hydroponic vegetable growing systems.
